Today page views of my blog reached 15000, let me thank all
my friends who read and taking a step further, encouraged me by various ways .
But
my prime intention of writing this blog
is not to express gratitude but to analyze the readership of the blog, specially
the distribution of the readership.
I have tabulated the numbers of the readers from the top ten
countries, and the number of people living in those countries in the Srilankan Diaspora,
in order to compare the numbers. Then I calculated the number of viewers for
each country for a 100000 srilankans living in that particular country. The
table below is the product of that analysis.

Following are some of the most discernible observations for
a laymen statistician like me, from
the analysis.
1. 1. USA has the highest percentage per capita
2. 2.Saudi Arabia lowest far behind the 9th
Srilanka
3. 3. The blog reading population in Srilanka is
fairly high compared to our other indexes
4. 4. Srilankans in Middle East are less keen in
reading blogs than Srilankan in western countries
Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteThis analysis is basically wrong
ReplyDeleteOh. Forgot.. Best wishes for the numbers
Deletewhich part of it is wrong please ?
ReplyDeletethis analysis is related to a limited circle. As we know most of the ppl often visit your site. ex- I think yesterday i visited you 5 or six times.. then it will remain for me some views. But you take each visit as separate viewers
Deleteagree, but i do not have that details with me whether there are multiple views by same reader. so I have to assume that happens in all separate populations in equal terms
