වයර් වල් පරාජය කිරීම

 ආක්‍රමණ නොයෙකුත් ආකාරයෙන් සිදු විය හැක. 

මේ දවස්වල මගේ ගෙවත්ත වල් වර්ගයකින් ආක්‍රමණය කර ඇත. බොහෝ දිගට වැවෙන මේ වල් කෙටි කාලයකින් මුළු භූමි ප්‍රදේශයම යට කර ගනී. එසේම කූඩැල්ලන් ඉතාම ඉක්මනින් බෝවෙන්නට පටන් ගනී. 

සාමාන්‍ය උස ප්‍රයෝජනවත් පැළෑටි පඳුරු ඇතුලට වැවී ඒවායේ ඉහළට වැවී එම පැළෑටි යට කරගෙන ඒවාට ආලෝකය නොලැබෙන පරිදි ඒවා උඩ ද මේවාට වර්ධනය වන්නට පුළුවන. 

සාමාන්‍ය බිමක විසිකැත්තකින් ගසා හෝ උදැල්ලකින් සුද්ද කර ගැනීමට පුළුවන්කම තිබුණද පඳුරක් අස්සට ගොස් එහි සැමටම පැටලී වැවෙන්නට පටන් ගත් විට කරන්නට කිසිම දෙයක් නැති තත්ත්වයකට පත්වේ. අතින් ඇද ගලවා දමන්නට උත්සාහ කලත් ලෙමන් වැනි කටු තියෙන පැළෑටිවල එය කිරීම අපහසුය. 

නමුත් මම පේටන්ට් බලපත්‍රයක් හිමි නව නිපැයුම් කරුවෙකි. වසර ගණනාවක් , නාවික හමුදාවේ සැලසුම් සහ ව්‍යාපෘති අධ්‍යක්ෂක ලෙස පර්යේෂණ සහ නව නිපැයුම් අංශය පිහිටුවා බොහෝ නව නිපැයුම් කළ අතර ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශයේ පර්යේෂණ සහ නවනිපැයුම් මෙහෙයුම් කමිටුවේ ද сමාජිකයකුව සිටියෙමි.

වයර්වල්වලට මා පරදවන්නට නොහැක. අද මම මේ සඳහා අලුත් ආම්පන්නයක් නිර්මාණය කළෙමි. මේ එම ආම්පන්නයයි. ඒ වල් වලින් වටවී යටවී තිබුණු ලෙමන් ගසක් ඒ ආම්පන්නය යොදා පිරිසිදු කර ගත් ආකාරය  ඡායාරූපවලින් පෙන්වා ඇත. 

අඩි පහක් පමණ දිග පරණ රීප්ප පටියක කෙළවරට ඇණ දෙකක් ගසා සාදාගත් මෙම උපකරණය, පඳුරේ වල් වැවී ඇති තැන්වලට හෙමින් සීරුවේ යවා ඇනවලට වල්  ටිකක් පටලවා ගෙන අත් දෙකෙන් ලීය කරකැවීමෙන් වල් සෑහෙන ප්‍රමාණයක් ඇඹරෙමින් ගැට ගැසෙමින් ලීයට පටලැවේ. සෑහෙන තරමක් එකතු වූ පසු ලීය ඇදගත්විට ඒ වල් ටික ඉවත් කර ග හැක. ඉන්පසුව එම ක්‍රියාව නැවත නැවතත් ලෙමන් පඳුරේ වල් අවසන් වනතුරු සිදු කළෙමි.

Invasions can take place in various ways.

These days, my home garden has been invaded by a type of weed. Growing very long, these weeds cover the entire land area within a short period. At the same time, leeches start breeding very rapidly.

They can grow deep inside normal-height useful plant bushes, climb to their tops, and grow right over them, blocking sunlight from reaching those plants.

Although it is possible to clear them on normal ground using a scythe or a mammoty (hoe), once they get inside a bush and start growing entangled with everything, you reach a helpless situation. Even if you try to pull and uproot them by hand, it is difficult to do so in plants with lemon-like thorns.

However, I am a patented inventor. Having served for years as the Director of Plans and Projects of the Navy, I established the Research and development Division and created many new inventions. I was also a member of the Research and development steering Committee of the Ministry of Defence.

Vines/weeds cannot defeat me. Today, I designed a brand-new tool for this. These are the photographs of it. It shows how a lemon tree, surrounded and suppressed by those weeds, was cleaned using this tool.

This device, made by driving two nails into the end of an old lath (wooden strip) about five feet long, is gently inserted into the weed-grown areas of the bush. By tangling a portion of the weeds onto the nails and twisting the piece of wood with both hands, a substantial amount of weeds gets twisted, knotted, and wound around the wood. Once a significant amount has gathered, pulling the wood out allows you to remove that batch of weeds. Afterwards, I repeated this process until the weeds in the lemon bush were completely gone.
